Our Team
Claire
Claire is the Unit Manager at Guildford PET-CT Centre. She is responsible for our team and the day-to-day running of the Centre, making sure patients have the best possible experience during their appointments and that referrers have everything they need.
You’ll usually find Claire around the building, so don’t hesitate to have a chat and share your feedback.
Luke
Luke is part of the Administration team. He is a patient’s first point of contact and will call them to book in their appointment. He will make sure that patients have everything they need before they arrive, and that they know what to expect during their visit.
Once patients arrive at our Guildford Centre, he will check them in and wait with them until a Clinical Assistant takes them through to the uptake room.
Luke also answers our calls, emails and enquiries, so if you send a message through to us it will usually be him that you speak to!
Claudia
Claudia looks after all the technical aspects of a patient’s scan and is responsible for getting the imaging that the referring consultant needs.
She will take patients into the scanner room and ensure that they are correctly and comfortably positioned before heading to the control room. Claudia will speak to the patient from the control room throughout the scan to reassure them and get the best possible images.
Once imaging is complete, she will send them to a reporting radiologist who will interpret them and write a report on what they see. Finally, the report is sent to the consultant.
Nikko
Nikko is one of our Clinical Assistants and he looks after a patient's comfort during their appointment.
Once a patient has checked in at reception, Nikko will collect them from the waiting room and take them to one of our uptake bays to prepare for their scan.
He will administer the radioactive tracer required for the patient’s scan and be on-hand to ensure they are comfortable during the uptake time, which takes approximately an hour.
