On site, we have a GE Discovery 710 PET-CT scanner which provides detailed, accurate and rapid diagnostics for FDG and PSMA/FEC Whole Body Scans as well as FDG Brain Scans.

Our centre is easily accessible via multiple transport links including car, bus, train and cycle routes, featuring 6 car parks, served by 12 bus routes and 3 train lines as well as various cycle routes.

The centre is easily accessible by car, bus, train and bike. There are a variety of car parking options, including the Brunel multi-storey, Gloucester House, the Emergency Department and Women & Children’s car parks. These all have pay machines and pay-by-app available. Monks Park car park is pay and display and Tyndalls Way temporary short stay overflow car park is cash only. There are also patient drop-off bays inside the multi-storey car park and outside the Emergency Department. Blue Badge holders can park free of charge.

If you’re travelling by bus, Southmead Hospital is served by over 12 services which stop either outside the main entrance to the Brunel building, or close by. The nearest stations are Bristol Parkway, Filton Abbey Wood and Temple Meads with each station having bus route connections to the hospital.

We also provide cycle parking – spare locks and emergency repair kits are available in the Security Travel and Parking office within the Brunel building on Level 1.

There are a number of refreshments located within the Brunel Building, such as: Amigo Shop, Costa Coffee, The League of Friends Coffee Shop as well as a number of vending machines.
