Working for and with our trusted partner Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, this new centre relocates the PET-CT service from Royal Surrey County Hospital to a technologically advanced digital scanner.

The most advanced digital scanner‍

Guildford PET-CT Centre features one of only two GE Discovery MI 5-Ring Gen 2 PET-CTs in the UK.

GE's most advanced scanner, it is an impressive 33% more sensitive than a 4-ring digital PET-CT and able to detect smaller lesions at earlier stages than ever before. Patients benefit from lower radiation doses and quicker scans, with full-body imaging completed in just 10 minutes. Plus, faster reconstruction time allows our radiographers to review the scan during the appointment, so they can carry out further imaging immediately if required.

Through increasing capacity, our new centre also allows us to support our partners carry out vital research into diseases such as cancer and dementia. We're dedicated to working together to drive better outcomes for patients.
